Pye-Barker Fire & Safety has acquired E.D.S., Inc., which operates as CARE Security & Monitoring, a security services provider headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky.

Founded in 1993 and led by retired police officers Chris Harr and Jerry Codey since 2012, CARE designs, installs, and services security and fire alarm systems, access control, video surveillance, and provides fire extinguisher services. The acquisition strengthens Pye-Barker's presence in Kentucky.

"We want to help our customers feel the empowerment of knowing their businesses are secure," said Chris Harr, co-owner of CARE. "We take comfort in seeing that Pye-Barker shares the same commitment to creating peace of mind for the communities they serve."

Bart Proctor, CEO of Pye-Barker, noted the cultural fit between the two companies. "The team has a genuine passion for this work, and joining forces will allow us to ultimately better serve Kentuckians together," Proctor stated.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. CARE's existing team will continue to serve customers in the region.
